Rock rock music festival - Festas Gualterianas - The festivities of the city
of Guimarães coincide
with the Fair of St. Gualter.
These events take place
during 4 days in August.
On Sunday, the religious
celebration reaches its
high point with the Procession
of St. Gualter. On Monday,
the “Marcha Gualteriana”
takes place. It is a medieval
procession depicting costumes
and traditions from the
Middle Ages and showcasing
the ways that the town
folk of those times used
to ridicule society.The
other planned festivities
include traditional dance
performances, bullfight,
horse racing, fireworks,
music festival, and a
performance called “Batalha
das Flores” (Battle
